We are the catalyst--working to reestablish the regenerative, small-scale family-farm food system while educating and enlisting regenerative-farm consumers.
We provide beginning entrepreneurial farmers and young aspiring agriculture innovators with services that give access to land use and business mentoring as they develop their own farming and value-added agriculture enterprises.

It's a place that allows you to connect to the land which provides your food and brings you into relationship with the animals to whom will become a part of you, through your choice in consumption.

Our goal is to drive the growth of an alternative local food economy by building up the next generation of urban gardeners, agricultural entrepreneurs, family farmers, and regenerative-farm consumers.

FOCUS: Fixed On Change Until Success!
Our FOCUS Farming Program supports aspiring farmers and youth innovators who are in need of three essential ingredients to begin their work in reestablishing this food system: Training, Land, and Material Resources.
Slak Market Farm is pushing beyond the limitations and providing the services that would be most helpful in supporting aspiring farmers.
We have 12 acres just outside of Lexington, Ky., with existing structures and fencing and big plans to restructure our land and facilities to share with others.
There is an existing building on site that will be transformed to become our Focus Farming Classroom & Certified Commercial Value-Added Kitchen.
It is a place that will be used for educational outreach and programming to stimulate and develop agriculture innovators within our young school-age population and for small-scale family farmers to make their value-added products.
